Fire Damages Mobile Home At approximately 12:17 p.m. Wednesday, the Sevierville Fire Department (SFD) responded to a report of a fire at 970 Candy Tuft in Sevierville. Firefighters arrived at the mobile home moments later and were able to extinguish the fire in minutes. According to SFD Chief Mike Rawlings, fire damage was restricted primarily to the living room and kitchen areas, but the entire home sustained smoke damage. One adult female resident was reportedly present when the fire started. She was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but was not transported to a hospital. According to SFD Fire Marshall Tommy White, the resident reported that a dog had knocked over a lighted candle in the living room, starting the fire. Fire Marshall White will conduct an investigation to make a final determination as to the cause of the fire. The Sevier County Volunteer Fire Department, Sevierville Police Department and Sevier County Ambulance Service also responded.
