Sheriff’s office to host Fly-In event

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit is hosting Fly-In at the Island 11 a.m..-6 p.m. Saturday, May 27, at Knoxville Island Home Airport. This is the first year for the event, and will feature a day filled with aircraft displays and exciting fly-in maneuvers. There will be Medivac helicopters, law enforcement helicopters, military aircraft and World War II vintage aircraft on exhibit, as well as several special team displays. Scenic Helicopter Tours will be on site to provide helicopter rides. Food and drinks will be available through Scout Troop 255, sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge. Parking is free, and will be available on site.
