Lois Mary Sonnet, 78, of Kodak departed this earth Thursday, February 23, 2006 for eternal heavenly rest. She had several ailments including diabetes for many years. She was a member of the Sevier County Ruritan Club for 8 years. She was the loving wife for 53 years of Jacob W. Sonnet. The devoted mother of five sons: Curt Sonnet and wife Linda of River Edge, NJ, Wayne Sonnet and wife Jill of Staten Island, NY, Glenn Sonnet and wife Carolyn of New Providence, NJ, Scott Sonnet and wife Rosalyn of Knoxville, TN, Dean Sonnet and wife Keighlyn of Charlotte, NC and former daughter-in-law Pamela Sonnet. Also survived by grandchildren Skyler, Shelby, Curt J., Kyle, Andrew, Kevin, Cody, Marc, Michele, Harley, Saylor, Andrew James. She also leaves sisters Patricia and husband William of Summit, NJ, Joan and husband Mario of Millington, NJ, Virginia and husband Norman of Port Orange, FL, Catherine and husband Walter of Morristown, NJ and several nieces and nephews. She was a devoted housewife loved and missed by many.Graveside service and interment 3 PM Thursday in Atchley’s Seymour Memory Gardens. Father Thomas O’Connell officiating. Billy Parton, age 67 of Seymour went to be home with Jesus on Tuesday February 28, 2006 at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and retired from The Kings Academy after 35 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Leota Parton, brothers, Crawford, Homer, and Blain Parton who died as an infant. Survivors: Wife of 42 years: Gail Parton; Daughter and son-in-law: Pam and Joey Hickman; Son: Larry Parton; Grandsons: Isaac and Jacob Hickman; Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Ray and Sue Parton, Frank and Bernice Parton, Ben and Mary Parton; Numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to St. Mary’s staff and Dr. John Hoskins staff. Funeral service 7PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour with Pastor Ed Cloud officiating.
