OBITUARY

Viola “Granny” McCarter, age 78 of Sevierville, went home to with the Lord on Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center. She was a member of Smithwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Buford McCarter, granddaughter Becky Burkett, great-granddaughters Kristy Finchum and Whitney Ownby, parents Rev. Levi and Susie Ogle, sister Liza Jane Perault, and brothers Oliver and Raymond Ogle. Survivors: Daughters and Sons-in-law: Sue and Ronald Ownby, Judy and Coy Branch, Vickie and Steve Ogle, Joyce and Rev. Ray Burkett, Janet Hurst, Karen and David Garst Grandchildren and spouses: Rhonda and Larry Ferguson, Donna and Ritchie Reynolds, Tommy and Tressia Ownby, Teddy and Jennifer Ownby, Cynthia and Scott Clevenger, James Sizemore, Jessica and Scott Nelson, Adam Branch, Tonya and John Taylor, Cheri and Jonathan Morris, Michael and Christina Burkett, Roy and Gina Burkett, Tasha Hurst and fiancé Daniel Galyon, David and Sherace Garst, Josh Garst and fiancée Krystle Parrott Several great-grandchildren, all were very special Sisters: Margie Huskey of Sevierville, Helen Guy of Maryville Brothers: James, Elmer, and Clon Ogle, all of Sevierville, Billy Ogle of Maryville Several nieces and nephews Special friend: Erma Jean Garst Funeral service 1 PM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Burkett and Rev. Beecher Huskey officiating. Interment will follow in Proffitt Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6-9 PM Friday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
