The truck is loaded with 720 free pizzas and they are coming to Gatlinburg to pass them out.
Schwan Food Company and Coke are teaming up to give away free Red Baron Pizza and Coke on the Parkway, in front of the Convention Center, Sunday from 2p.m. to 5p.m.
The special events department asked Schwan Food Company to develop a promotion to give Gatlinburg’s visitors something special. Schwan decided to give away free Red Baron Pizza and Coke agreed to give out free drinks to passer byers on Sunday.
“We wanted to do something to create a little excitement in town,” says Ernie Gregory, a spokesperson for Schwan Food Company. “This gives us a way to meet the consumers who eat our pizza.”
Schwan and Red Baron will have two floats in the midnight July 4th Gatlinburg parade.
Schwan is one of the largest, branded frozen food companies in the US. They are one of the largest producers of frozen pizza. They market many brands including Red Baron Pizza, Tony’s Pizza, and Freschetta Pizza.
