Crash sends two to hospital

Collision on Parkway briefly closed road john@theheraldnewspapers.com Two drivers ended up in area hospitals this morning after a crash on the Parkway near Blalock’s Construction and South Boulevard Way. The Sevierville Police Department (SPD) responded to the accident about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. According to SPD Sgt. Richie McMahan, it appears a 2003 Dodge Neon driven by Stacy L. Cruise, 38, of Pigeon Forge was traveling north on the Parkway when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes and collided with a 2005 Ford Expedition. Cruise was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center via LifeStar Air Ambulance. The Expedition’s driver, Judy Laureano, 59, of Kodak, was taken to Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center via the Sevier County Ambulance Service. The Parkway briefly closed for emergency vehicles and personnel at the scene, as well as to allow the landing of LifeStar. The Sevierville Fire Department also responded
