Denise Scruggs, 47, of Seymour, beloved wife, mother, nanny, sister and aunt was welcomed in to Heaven’s Gates on Wednesday July 26, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Frances Reagan Hobbs and Curtis Lynn Hobbs. She was a Sevier County School Bus Driver for 12 years. Survivors: Husband: Bill Scruggs Son: Lance Corporal Joshua Adam Brantley USMC and Andrew Scruggs Daughter: Ashley Ravenelle and husband Keith Grandchildren: Blake and Bryson Ravenelle Sisters: Debbie Smith and husband David Gale Satterfield and husband Terry Several Nieces and Nephews Funeral service 10 AM Saturday at Atchley’s Seymour Chapel. Rev. Dallas Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Highland South Cemetery, nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6-8:30 PM Friday at Atchley funeral Home Seymour, 122 Peacock Court, Seymour, TN. (577-2807). Master Sergeant Frank Wesley Wear, Jr., age 83 of Pigeon Forge, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at his home. He served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corp. in Europe. Frank was a member of the Masonic Order, Free and Accepted Masons. He worked for the World Bank building roads in Africa. In later years he worked as a school bus driver and at the bus garage for the Sevier County Board of Education. Frank was born March 5, 1923. He was preceded in death by his wife Lorene Ogle Wear, his parents Frank W. and Della Fox Wear, and sibling Carl and Sam Wear, and Margie Walters. He leaves behind his: Sons and daughters-in-law: Jerry and Linda Wear, Tommy and Debbie Wear Daughter: Janet Wear Grandchildren: Mark, David, and John Wear, Elizabeth Messick, Keith Hamm, April McGill, Stacy Lee Great-grandchildren: Mollie and Cassie Messick, Mason Hamm, and Grayden Wesley Wear Sister: Carolyn Pugh of Ohio In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pigeon Forge Middle School Library or Gum Stand Baptist Church of Pigeon Forge. Funeral service 2 PM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Reagan officiating. Interment will follow in Pigeon Forge Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 104. The family will receive friends 12-2 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Paul Eugene Ross, age 72, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at his home. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Tipp City, Ohio.
