Prep classes planned for CPS Exam

Walters State’s Office of Community and Economic Development will again offer non-credit Certified Professional Secretary Exam Preparation courses. The courses begin in August and lead to the Nov. 4, 2006, National Certified Professional Secretary exam date. Classes will be offered from 6-9 p.m. on Monday evenings at the college’s Morristown Campus. Courses will be taught at other dates on the and at the Greeneville/Greene County Center for Higher Education. Classes planned are: • CPS Part 1 – Office Systems and Technology  Aug. 10-31; course registration deadline, Aug. 1 • CPS Part 2 – Office Administration  Sept. 7-28; course registration deadline, Sept. 1 • CPS Part 3 – Management  Oct. 5-26; course registration deadline, Oct. 1. The cost of each course is $125 plus the cost of a textbook. The deadline to register for the November exam is Aug. 15. Other course dates and locations are listed at www.ws.edu/ibi. Courses are offered in cooperation with the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
