Attention rock fans! Grab your pen and mark your calendars now for an unforgettable music experience on Saturday, September 2 when national recording artist Big Head Todd & The Monsters return by popular demand to Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson for a phenomenal live concert at “The Shed”. These powerhouse entertainers appeared at “The Shed” in August 2005 for Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson’s First Anniversary Celebration, and the fans weren’t disappointed thanks to a high-energy performance that kept the crowd rockin’ long into the night. The band has released nine albums (seven studio and two live) thus far including the platinum selling CD Sister Sweetly. Other BHTM releases include Crimes of Passion and Live from the Fillmore (DVD). Their radio hits include “Broken Hearted Savior”, “Sister Sweetly”, “Bittersweet” and “Resignation Superman”. At the request of NASA Todd Park Mohr, singer/songwriter/guitarist for the band, wrote the song “Blue Sky” which NASA adopted as the theme song for the 2005 launch of the Space Shuttle Columbia. Mohr also produced a video of “Blue Sky”. The band is still comprised of the original trio--Todd Park Mohr who has been the front man since the band formed in Colorado in the late 1980’s, drummer Brian Nevin and bassist Rob Squires—a rarity in the music business. With a full touring schedule and recording, Big Head Todd & The Monsters continues to transcend generations by entertaining die-hard BHTM fans while also attracting new fans with their legendary live shows and unique musical style. Tickets for the concert are $10 in advance or $15 at the gate. Advance tickets can be purchased now at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson locations in Maryville, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge and at Tickets Unlimited outlets (865-656-4444; www.knoxvilletickets.com). Gates will open at 6 p.m. with the concert beginning at 8 p.m. “The Shed” is located adjacent to Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson & Buell at 1820 West Lamar Alexander Parkway in Maryville.
