Sevier County Blood Drives—September 26 & 28 Transfused blood and blood products must come from volunteer donors. There is no better way to show your volunteer spirit than giving the gift of life. Each donor has the ability to help save three lives. Currently, MEDIC is in need of A Positive and O Negative blood types. Please do the right thing and give blood at the following locations in your community or stop by the donor center located at 1601 Ailor Avenue: · September 26, Food City, 11503 Chapman Highway, 11:00am – 7:00pm, MEDIC Mobile. · September 28, Walters State Community College, 1720 Old Newport Highway, 10:00am – 6:00pm, Lobby. All donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh more than 110 lbs., and have positive identification. In return for your donation, you will receive a free t-shirt, free cholesterol screening (no fasting required) and a year membership to MEDIC’s Family Coverage Program. Family coverage exempts you and your IRS dependents from having to pay blood supplier and processing fees at any U.S. hospital if a transfusion is needed. You never know if and when someone you love will need blood. Please donate today. For more information please call 865-524-3074 or visit www.medicblood.com.
