published: September 16 2005 12:00 AM updated:: September 16 2005 12:00 AM
Sale items can be dropped off on Saturday A Sevier County non-profit group aimed at helping area youth will be hosting a community garage sale on next Saturday, the 24th at the First United Methodist Church in Sevierville. Proceeds from the sale will go towards helping the group—Sevier County’s Promise, the Alliance for Youth—buy needed materials for the many services it provides for Sevier County young adults. These include mentoring services, job shadowing, and locating training and other opportunities. Area residents are encouraged to donate items to be sold in the garage sale. These can be dropped off on Saturday in Pigeon Forge, in the building in front of the Country Tonite Theatre at 2249 Parkway, next to the Check Cashing Co. They will be accepting donations that day between 8 a.m. and noon. The garage sale will be from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. and is open to the whole community.
