Boys and Girls Club appoints Director

SEVIER COUNTY - The Boys and Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains is pleased to announce the appointment of Sue Dempersmier to the newly created Director of Resource Development position. “We’ve been talking about this position for almost two years,” says Executive Director Mark Ross. “We’re at the point now that we need someone to really focus on resource development so we can continue to grow and meet the needs of our youth in Sevier County.” Dempersmier, whose son, Nick, is a member of the Sevierville Boys and Girls Club, is an eight year resident of Sevier County. Most recently employed as the Marketing Director for Wellington Place Assisted Living, and prior to that with the Louise Mandrell Theater, Dempersmier has been very active in the community. She has served on the Boards for the United Way of Sevier County, Senior Citizens Home Assistance, Boys and Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains, AYSO Soccer, Smoky Mountain Children’s Home, and American Business Women’s Association (ABWA). She has also been on the Sevier County Steering Committee for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life and is currently the Co-Chair of the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk. She will continue to serve on the Board for the Sevierville Rotary Club and maintain active membership in the ABWA.
