news@theheraldnewspapers.com A Sevierville church will be holding its 15th annual Live Nativity Scene beginning Thursday, December 8. The Evergreen Presbyterian Church nativity scene will feature more than 50 live actors with period sets and costumes. They will have eight different scenes depicting the events leading up to and including the birth of baby Jesus. Guests will follow a lighted trail from scene to scene with spiritual songs of the season playing as they go. A short film about the life of Jesus will be continuously playing throughout the evening, in the sanctuary. The walkthrough will be open to the public from 7 to 9 p.m. nightly from December 8 through December 11, weather permitting. The Evergreen Church is located next to the new Belk Department store at the south end of the River Place shopping center. Admission to the event is free, and complimentary refreshments will be served. Visitors may park for free in the River Place parking lot. For directions or other information, contact the Evergreen Church by calling 865-428-3001.
