Rep. Richard Montgomery (R-Sevierville) announced that he has been awarded an Honorary Lifetime Membership in the Tennessee Congress of Parents and Teachers. The award is one of the highest honors that a local unit or council of the Tennessee PTA can bestow upon an individual. “It is truly a privilege to be a part of this distinguished group of individuals who are continually working to better the lives of our state’s students,” stated Rep. Montgomery.  “As a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, I know that I will face decisions this year that will impact the academic experiences of our young people and I am committed to doing what is right for the people of Sevier County as well as the students across the state. I greatly look forward to working with the Tennessee PTA and am thankful for this honor.” Rep. Montgomery represents the 12th House District, which includes approximately 80% of Sevier County.  He is a member of the House committees on Education and Commerce.  Rep. Montgomery resides in Sevierville.
