Although many hospitals in the surrounding area have seen an influx of admissions due to the flu, Fort Sanders Sevier Hospital reports that things are typically normal for this time of year. Blount Memorial Hospital had documented that they were nearly full to capacity this past weekend due to outbreaks of the influenza virus. “Things are relatively the same as they were this time last year,” stated Misty Brown, Director of Marketing and Communications for Fort Sanders Sevier Hospital, noting that they have not seen a drastic change due to the flu.
