International Reading Association’s Government Relations workshop February 2006

As Tennessee’s Reading Teacher of the Year, Angie Parton will be participating in this great workshop with Randall Kincaid. The conference will be held in Washington D.C. where both Randall and Angie will be trained by the IRA Staff on asking questions and proper procedures in participating in debates on NCLB and other educational legislative issues with our legislators on the floor of Congress. This is a great experience and both participants will be able to attend legislative sessions as special guests of the International Reading Association’s Legislative Committee.
