The fantasy of trees in Knoxville was a huge success, displaying a multitude of trees for the public to gaze at, and eventually purchase. Amongst the trees, was a beautiful, seven-foot tree sponsored by Seymour Middle School. “This was the second year the school has decorated a tree, but the first year in having a seven footer,” explained Pam Cosner. The theme was “Happy Holidays” and it was decorated in white, blue and silver with plenty of snowflakes to express the season. Once adorned with decorations, the trees are auctioned off and the proceeds go to the Children’s Hospital. The magnificently trimmed tree sold for $295. The Christmas tree was sponsored by the beta club and decorated by Pam Cosner, Heidi Weekly, Kim Rumph and Denise Cole.
