Herald announces design contest

The Herald Newspapers is searching for area art talent, and we’re laying out the dough to prove it. Throughout the summer, The Herald will be accepting entries in our “Summer’s Over, This Sucks!” t-shirt design contest. The contest is open to Sevier County youths ages 12-17. The youth who designs the winning shirt will win a $100 prize, along with other goodies yet to be announced. The winner will also earn first consideration for an internship in the Art Department of The Herald Newspapers. To enter the contest, render your art design as a bitmap and submit the entry to editor@theheraldnewspapers.com. Deadline to enter is August 21.
