The aroma of shrimp gumbo permeated the air, as guests milled about Friday afternoon at the Grand Opening of The Seafood Market in Sevierville. Mayor Brian Atchley joined owners Jeff Marquis and Michelle Bivens in cutting the ribbon to celebrate the joyous occasion. Other community organizations, including the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce, were represented. Marquis and Bivens prepared many wonderful seafood items for the public to sample, including the Royal Red Shrimp, which tastes just like lobster, but still costs the same as regular shrimp. The music was upbeat, and there was much laughter as guests were welcomed warmly.
