Spiritual discussion and healing service at Holy Cross

By Christian Patrick news@theheraldnewspapers.com Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pigeon Forge will be holding special Healing Service and Spritual Discussion this Wednesday,  August 18th, immediately following the 9:00am Mass.  Featured celebrant will be special guest the Reverend Monsignor Michael Flanagan of Cross International and the Diocese of Mandeville, Jamaica.“Monsignor Flanagan is a very special man and a brilliant speaker,” according to Louis Kahl, a Holy Cross parishioner who is organizing the event.  “He has some wonderful stories from his outreach work around the world leading people to the Lord.”One of the special components of the event at Holy Cross will be Flanagan sharing some of his experiences as an “outreach preacher’ for Cross International Catholic Outreach.  Cross International is a Christ-centered ministry founded to help the poor throughout the world in places like Haiti, Guyana, Zambia, Ukraine and, through a relationship with a group called “Cor Unum”, Iraq and Iran.“Utilizing churches to distribute aid has an imprtant spiritual impact,” Monsignor Flanagan said.  “It empowers local religious leaders, strengthening the Christian community’s ability to share the Gospel with those who need it most.”Monsignor Flanagan has been a Roman Catholic priest for 32 years.  he has extensive experience in parish and high school ministry and is a trained psychotherapist.Holy Cross Catholic Church invites everyone to please come and be a part of this special experience.  The church is located at 144 Wear’s Valley road in Pigeon Forge.  For more information, contact Roger White at Holy Cross:  429-5587, ext. 100.
