A local small business, Something Precious Fine Jewelry, located at 7341 Chapman Plaza, is pleased to present online shopping at their newly redesigned web site: www.somethingpreciousjewelry.com
“I am thrilled to have this important new aspect of our business available to the shopping public,” stated Cheryl Thompson, co-founder of Something Precious Fine Jewelry.
“My son, Kendrick, who is my bench jeweler, and I have worked many hours to prepare ideas, photos, information and descriptions for our new site. It’s exciting to venture out into the “cyber-market” and see what new friends and customers we will meet over the internet.”
The new website will feature a wide array of colored gemstones, as well as Bridal selections in white and yellow gold and platinum, certified diamonds, and gold fashion items in unique as well as popular styles. Customizing options are available as well as helpful information.
Something Precious is also making preparations to mark the anniversary of their 15th year in business. The addition of their new web site is a fitting tribute to the continuing growth of this local business.
“We plan to celebrate this milestone all through 2004,” commented Ms. Thompson. “This business has survived many things in its 15-year history. We experienced the loss of its founder, my late husband Ruble, then a move from Kingsport to Knoxville, then the awful events of September 11th and a war. It is by the grace of God that Something Precious is still alive and growing. I have always recognized the fact that the Lord owns this business and He owns me - this is why I bear the title of “steward” rather than owner.”
“The technical aspects of our new web site were designed and is being hosted by a successful media company called Multimedia Creations. They have done an exceptional job with this site and I am impressed with their technical knowledge,” continued Ms. Thompson.
“ I am basically computer illiterate but they walked me through the entire development process, step by step, and patiently listened to my ideas and then took those ideas to new heights. I will continue to work closely with them to expand and update our site as some pages are still in the development stages. They have designed and hosted a number of popular and successful web sites and they have several of their own.”
Ms. Thompson mused, “I see us continuing to expand our inventory and the services we offer on-line as well as here at our main store. E-commerce is the direction that business is going today and we plan to make positive use of this new venture for the future of Something Precious Fine Jewelry as well as for the customer’s benefit.”
You can visit Something Precious at 7341 Chapman Plaza on John Sevier Highway. Store hours are Tuesday thru Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or you can visit them online at www.somethingpreciousjewelry.com.
