Bank hit by lone bandit

The First Tennessee Bank located at 9607 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee, was robbed on April 21, 2003, at approximately 5:15 p.m. by a lone male robber utilizing a demand note, according to R. Joe Clark, Special Agent in Charge of the Knoxville Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The robber, who obtained an undetermined amount of money, fled the bank on foot. The robber was described as a white male in his mid-20s, 5’6” tall, approximately 135 pounds, with brown hair, a brown mustache, and a suntanned complexion. The robber was wearing a bandana on his head, a light blue pullover shirt with a Grateful Dead emblem on the back of the shirt, and tie-dyed blue jean shorts. Anyone with information concerning this robbery should call the Knoxville Office of the FBI at 865-544-0751.
