Willemssen, Rachel V. Rachel V. Willemssen 81 of Maryville died Monday January 20, 2003 at her home in Maryville. She was born March 21, 1921 in Lyon County, Iowa. She was a long time resident of Memphis. She was preceded in death by her Husband: A.J. (Johnny) Willemssen. She is survived by her Daughter: Laurie Smalley and Granddaughters: Vanessa and Lauren Smalley all of Maryville. The family expressed thanks to the staff, volunteers, and friends at Blount Memorial Hospice, and Home Health Services, and to her friends at Colonial Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Memphis. No local services are planned. Graveside Funeral Services were held Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. In lieu of flowers Rachel had requested memorials or contributions be made to Colonial Cumberland Presbyterian Church 1500 South Perkins Memphis, TN 38117. Hurst, Louise Forrester Louise Forrester Hurst 64 of Knoxville died Tuesday January 21, 2003. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Frank and Helen Harman Forrester, Brothers: Leroy and Frank Eugene Forrester, Son: Rickey Stallans. She is survived by her Children: Joe Walker, Doris Dillingham, Mickey Stallans, Vickey Stallans, Danny Henry, and Gena Wise, Fourteen Grand Children, Four Great Grand Children, Special Great Grand Daughter: Miracle Kelso, Sisters: Marie Righi, Linda Sneed, Brothers and Sister in Law: Jay and Linda Forrester, Ray Forrester. Funeral services were held Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Gerald Lawson officiating. The family met at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Alcoa Friday for a Graveside service. The family received friends Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home. Walker, “Bud” James R. Walker, “Bud” James R. age 65 of Maryville, died Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Preceded in death by: Father, John G. Walker; Wife, Jeanie Walker. Survivors include: Daughters, Rhonda Walker DeBoard and husband Dr. Tim DeBoard of Michigan and Lesa Walker Weeks and husband Jerry of Maryville. Eight Grandchildren; One Great-Grandchild; Mother, Bernice Walker; Brothers, Micky Walker and John R. Walker both of Maryville; Special friend, Ginger Tipton; Nephew, John M. Walker and other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Family and friends assembled for graveside service and interment Friday, January 24, 2003 at Piney Level Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. George Macht officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cancer Research. King, Luther Davis  ‘’L.D.’’ December 27, 1937 - January 20, 2003 Funeral Home:  Atchley Funeral Home Cemetery: Valley View Cemetery • Luther Davis “L.D.” King, age 65 of Wears Valley, passed away Monday, January 20, 2003 after fighting a long, hard battle with cancer.L.D. loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and six brothers. Phelps, Edna Jean (Bailey) Phelps, Edna Jean (Bailey) age 59 of Forest Park, GA died Sunday, January 19, 2003 at Fort Sanders Loudon Medical Center. She was a member of Stockbridge Assembly of God Church. Preceded in death by: Father, Howard Paul Bailey. Survivors include: Husband, Billy Joe Phelps; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Todd & Michelle Phelps and Cory & Jennifer Phelps all of McDonough, GA; Proud grandmother of: Morgan, Madison, Jacob; Mother, Mildred C. She was an active member of Everett Hills Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 50 years. Preceded in death by: Parents, William & Lilly Crouch. Survivors include: Husband of 67 Years, Earl A. Miles; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Gary & Toni Miles of Maryville and David & Marilyn Miles of Friendsville; Daughter and Son-in-law, Kay & John Garrett of Louisville; Five Grandchildren; Nine Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services were held, Wednesday, January 22, 2003 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Dr. Allen Raines officiating. Cain, Paul Vincent Paul Vincent Cain age 92, of Knoxville, died Saturday, January 18, 2003 at Holston Health care center. He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Cain. Survivors: Special friend: Leona Burgner with whom he had made his home for several years. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens, Pigeon Forge. Keasler, Juanita Pansy May 09, 1922 - January 23, 2003 • Funeral Home:  Atchley Funeral Home Cemetery: Pleasant Hill Cemetery • Juanita Pansy Keasler, age 80, of Sevierville, died Thursday January 23, 2003, at Sevier County Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by son, Bobby Jack Keasler, and parents, Levi and Anna Mae Tarwater. Survivors: Daughters and son-in-law: Anna Ruth Armstrong Kay and Ed Wolfe Son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Ann Keasler Daughter-in-law: Joyce Keasler 9 Grandchildren 11 Great Grandchildren Many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws Funeral services were held Sunday at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church with Grandson Greg Wolfe officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant Hill cemetery. The family received friends Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
