Jazzbeaux’s owner found stabbed to death

published: August 30 2003 12:00 AM updated:: August 30 2003 12:00 AM
The owner and operator of Jazzbeaux’s Cajun Café, Kacki Miller of New Iberia, LA, was found dead this afternoon by relatives in the restaurant she founded on the main drag in Gatlinburg. Miller, an outgoing and friendly matron with a quick smile and a hearty laugh who also employed her son at the bistro, was reportedly stabbed to death by persons unknown. Gatlinburg police are seeking an employee of the restaurant for questioning in the incident. Sought by authorities is Anthony Guidry, who is 5’ 10”, weighs 180 pounds, and is thought to be driving a gold 1998 Lincoln Navigator with Louisiana plates 1PT039. Jazzbeaux’s Cajun Café was recently featured in The Herald Newspaper’s restaurant review, where it garnered high marks. The staff member who wrote the review went on record as saying “Kacki was a wonderful woman whom I will sorely miss. Vivacious and charming, she loved Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains and its people.” This is the second murder in Sevier County in as many months, and one of the first in years in Gatlinburg. Anyone with information that might help in the investigation is urged to call the Gatlinburg Police Department at 436-5181. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the case.
