Auto accident near John Sevier Hwy

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Thursday April 3rd, a black Ford truck rear-ended a 2002 silver Kia driven by Lisa Ellis of Knoxville. The accident occurred just outside the Sunset Grill restaurant on Chapman Hwy. The Knoxville Police and the Knoxville Fire Department responded to the scene. Despite the extensive damage to the back of the car, there were no reported injuries. Ellis was turning into the strip mall when the accident occurred. Jim Lymch of the Lafollette Police Department was passing by and stopped to assist.
