Seymour resident Jonah Berry was the winner of the 13-24 months toddler division in the Fairest of the Fair contest held at 7 p.m. during the Tennessee Valley A&I Fair Friday night September 13th. Twenty-three girls and sixteen boys were entered in the annual beauty competition in separate categories.
“I was shocked,” Chrissy Berry, Jonah’s mom said. “There were all kinds of cute little babies there, they were beautiful. Jonah was the one with the winning smile.”
Buddy and Glenda Cameron, grandparents of the winner, were beaming with pride at the event. Chrissy reported that they couldn’t wait to tell everyone they knew about the event. Jonah’s grandmother Mrs. Kaye Berry stated when telephoned about the win simply “That’s my Jonah!”
After the win Jonah was treated with his brothers and sisters to fair rides and exhibits. He then had his picture made with his trophy, gift certificate and the other winners in their divisions.
