Well, we have been on the LA Weight Loss diet going on two months now. The pounds keep slipping away. I have got quite creative in my eating choices and I can still say that ‘I can’t believe it’s not butter’ has been my friend. I LOVE butter and it really adds to the flavor of food without adding all those extra calories.
The other night we came home late and Joe and I were both hungry. I went into to kitchen to look for a snack. The kids’ cookies were in the cookie jar and they were tempting but I decided to pull out a bag of broccoli from the freezer. It might not sound good to you but I want you to try this. Take a bowl of frozen broccoli, after it is cooked in the microwave (about two minutes) take it out and spray it with the ‘I can’t believe it’s not butter’ then sprinkle it with the Morton Lite salt. Mix it up and eat away! It IS good.
I don’t miss sweets but I do get the occasional craving for chocolate, which I fulfill with an occasional mocha from Extreme Bean and Espresso. I use skim milk, which is allowed, and decaf coffee. For the sweetness I’ll add a packet of Sweet’n’Low.”
Joe is still losing more weight than me. Why is it that guys seem to lose weight so much easier than women? It must be the mother thing, part of Mother Nature. Anyway, we are still rolling along and learning to eat correctly. It’s the only way to lose weight and keep it off for good!
