The Sevierville Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery at the Paper Factory on Monday, November 25, 2002 at approximately 7:50PM. Officer Todd Naillon arrived at the Paper Factory, a store in the Tanger Five Oaks Outlet Mall on the Parkway, moments after a store employee called 911 to report the incident.
According to witnesses, two black males and one white male entered the store and demanded money from two store employees. One of the black males and the white male allegedly used handguns and held the employees at gunpoint during the robbery.
The three suspects fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported. Sevierville officers, along with Sevier County Sheriffs Office deputies and Pigeon Forge Police Department officers, searched the area for about two hours.
The Sevierville Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident. Anyone with information is requested to contact Detective Eric Ramsey at 453-5507.
