Paul Ledbetter, Vice Commander introduced Lt. Col. Ford King to the Gat. American Legion Post, 202, last Thursday night. Col King’s talk covered many of his experiences and tours including those in the Middle East. He is currently stationed at McGee Tyson Airport where he is a Chaplain. King told the Legionnaires that they are still in “The Loop’ and are important to the nation. Colonel King received a Certificate of Appreciation from President Linda Wilson from the American Legion Auxiliary and Chaplain Gail Ledbetter. They also presented all veterans present with Certificates of Appreciation. It was indeed a special Veteran’s program honoring all veterans. That same evening 94 year-old Veteran glen Whistler and his wife Thelma were presented with cards and gifts in honor of his 94th birthday and their 72 wedding anniversary coming up November 30th.
