December 14, 1921 - March 20, 2002 Funeral Home: Atchley Funeral Home Cemetery: Cummings Chapel Cemetery Buford (Boots) Atchley, age 80 of Sevierville, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Reva Atchley; son-in-law James Steven Maples and great-grandson James Cullen Morris. Mr. Atchley was retired from Johnson and Galyon Construction after 30 years of service, and was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Phillipians. Survivors:Wife: Jo Walker Atchley. Daughter: Linda Atchley Maples. Son and daughter-in-law: Gene and Helen Atchley. Daughter and son-in-law: Susie and Wayne Knight. Grandchildren: Tishia and Daniel Morris, Tara, Joy, Janel and Whitney Maples, Amy and Wayne France, Jessie Atchley, Ashley and Noel Knight. Great-grandchildren: Walker, Braeden and Regen Morris Sisters and brothers-in-law: Gearldine and John Roberts, Willa Mae Orcutt, Elizabeth and Jim Tarwater, Johnnie and Harold Pedigo Funeral service were Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. W. W. Cope and Rev.David Newman officiating. Pallbearers were Jessie Atchley, Daniel Morris, Wayne France, Nathan Buice, Dale Huffman, Andrew Huff.
