He was a member of New Era Baptist Church. Mr. Tarwater was preceded in death by his parents George and Cassie Tarwater; brothers Clyde, W.D. (Butch), Earl, James, Claude, Fred and Carl Tarwater; sister Ruth Shular. Survivors:Wife: Janice Helton Tarwater.
