Seymour 4th of July exploding

The Seymour community is welcoming the 4th of July celebration at the Seymour Community Park with open arms. Wendys and Papa Johns are going to have concessions stands, along with Cantrell’s Fine Chocolates plus churches will have wonderful surprises for all. TR Farms will provide a Roman riding show and rope demonstration, and there will be a dunk tank, a moonwalk, a cake walk and a number of other opportunities for all to enjoy and celebrate the independence of our country. In addition, an important event will take place at the park this 4th of July. This day will also mark the ground breaking ceremony for the beginning of the Master Plan for the Seymour Community Park. If you live in Seymour, you’ll get to enjoy a wonderful community event and the drive home will be so much closer than ever before. It appears that Congressman Ed Bryant, State Senator Bill Clabough, State Representative Richard Montgomery, Blount County Commissioners Leroy Huff and Ron French, Sevier County Commissioners Bill Oakes, Beecher Baker, Buster Norton and their families are all planning to attend. The fireworks will be professionally handled. The cost is being offset by the generous donations of community members. If you would like to donate, please bring your donations to either the Seymour Herald offices or the Seymour Branch of Tennessee State Bank. Make checks payable to the Seymour Park. The celebration is sponsored by The Seymour Herald and will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Seymour Community Park located on Community Park Road, which is approximately one mile south of the light at Chapman Hwy. and Hwy. 411.
