At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Monday July 29th, Officer Wilds, from the Sevier County Police Department, responded to a three-car accident on Chapman Hwy. near the Seymour Public Library. According to Craig Valentine, who was driving a 2001 Toyota Camry, someone was turning left into the complex, where the Seymour Public Library is located, without using a turn signal. When the car in front of him made an abrupt stop, he also made an abrupt stop to avoid hitting the car in front of him. Valentine, was then rear ended by a third car, which pushed him into the car he had been trying not to hit. There were no injuries. The car that initiated the accident left the scene.
Norton’s Wrecking Service towed Valentine’s car away.
