At approximately 11:07 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2002, Sevierville Police responded to a reported armed robbery at Sexy Stuff, located at 1425 Winfield Dunn Pkwy. (Hwy. 66). A witness called 911 to report the incident.
According to witnesses, a man entered the store through the back door and approached the counter. Armed with a black shotgun, he told an employee to take him to the safe. The suspect handed the employee a plastic bag and instructed him to place the money from the safe into the bag. The suspect then left the store through the back door with an undisclosed amount of money, and fled in a newer model black full-size Dodge pick-up truck, possibly with an extended cab.
The suspect was described as a white male with a mustache, around 30 years old, approximately 5’ 11” tall, and weighing around 180 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, heavy brown military-style coat, blue jeans and tennis shoes. Detective Eric Ramsey, Criminal Investigations Division of the Sevierville Police Department, is investigating the incident. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is requested to call Detective Ramsey at 453-5506.
