Shows, exhibits, auctions, food, vendors, demonstrations, speakers, blessings, contests, and a variety of other interesting events promise to make this event another success.
State Senator Finney, (R) will be at the event as a guest speaker.
Dawn Elberson Goehring, a performer at the Pigeon Forge Comedy Barn, will have a show with her Comedy Canines.
The Blount County Animal Rescue Effort (Blount CARE) happening is to raise funds to benefit Blount CARE.
The event is not limited to dogs - all rescue groups, vendors, groomers, veterinarians, kennels, or other businesses are invited to participate. Non-animal related vendors, businesses, and crafters are welcome also.
Even All three local fire departments, Alcoa, Blount Co & Maryville will be displaying equipment including a fire engine, the fire house, mascots and remote control units.
The fun day is scheduled for Sunday October 21 with a rain day set for October 28th. Admission is free and the fun starts at 11:00 A.M. and will last until 5:00 P.M.
Blount Care, in it's seventh year as a 501c3 organization was formed to promote animal welfare in Blount County.
