Park set to open kids special shows on June 18
Dollywood is set to open this year’s KidsFest activities with a roar – of a dinosaur.
To kick off Dollywood’s 2004 KidsFest on June 18, Dolly has invited a very special guest - Barney the Dinosaur - to help get this summer’s festival off to a spectacular start. Barney will appear at KidsFest for three days only, June 18 – 20, with two shows each day in the Celebrity Theatre.
Showtimes are 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, June 18 and 11 a.m. and 1 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, June 19 & 20.
Complimentary tickets to each day’s Barney performances will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the Celebrity Theatre box office at park opening.
The park also announced that the Veggie Tales® live stage show is back by popular demand. Join Bob the Tomato® and Larry the Cucumber® for a very veggie summer as they teach timeless values like honesty, kindness, and forgiveness in a delightfully wacky way that the entire family can enjoy.
Clay, Rae Ling, Grizz and Ice can “bearly” wait to take the stage in the new Smoky Mountain Bear Jam show. This cool band of bears creates paw-tapping good times as these not-so-average teddies entertain with their hip tunes and smooth-as-fur moves.
Man’s best friend entertains as Perondi’s Extreme Canines Show™ makes its appearance at KidsFest. Seven amazing acrobatic dogs bring Fur Flying Family Fun™ to KidsFest with disc catching, rope jumping, handstands and other incredible tricks performed by these world-class stunt dogs.
ASA Extreme Sports Show returns in 2004 with thrilling athletic stunts performed by BMX riders, inline skaters and skateboarders. Every member of the family will marvel at these unbelievable tricks take these athletes to new heights.
No kids’ festival would be complete without a host of roving clowns, stilt walkers and jugglers to create a fun-filled atmosphere for all to enjoy. Be on the lookout for these characters as they roam the park sharing good times with you and your family.
The spotlight shines the brightest on the young ones at the Kids Karaoke Stage where the whole family can sing along as your little star takes the stage.
