NASCAR Speedpark a fun place to play
Looking for something fun to do? Then you might want to check out the NASCAR Speedpark located at 1545 Parkway in Sevierville. The park, which opened in 1999, offers just about anything for the little NASCAR driver in your family. Or, for that matter, any NASCAR driver in your family!
The park offers eight exciting tracks from the very easy ‘Sunday Driver’ lanes to the down-and-dirty speed track where even the nine-year-olds can outrace dad.
If racing is not your cup of tea, you can always check out the new miniature Gold Course which just opened this year. When the dragon, which towers over the golf course is in a good mood, your game may be a tinge better since he won’t be breathing fire down your neck.
Kiddie rides are available for the little ones in the family along with Speed Bumpers Bumper Boats.
Inside the facility is a large array of NASCAR memorabilia, merchandise, and apparel.
For those that want the feel of a real racetrack, the Silicon Motor Speedway Simulators will get your blood roaring, and the kids have can fun with the State of the Art SpeedDome Arcade.
A snack bar and private party rooms are also available and it’s a great place to have a birthday party.
If you do a lot of traveling, you can check out the NASCAR Speedparks in other parts of the country. There are four locations including the one in Sevierville: Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Concord, North Carolina; and St. Louis. Missouri. They are all owned by International Speed Parks, L.L.C., a wholly owned subsidiary of Burroughs & Chapin Co. Inc.
Burroughs & Chapin, a developer and operator of tourism and entertainment facilities in Myrtle Beach, S.C. for more than 100 years, is the worldwide licensee for NASCAR SpeedParks. As part of the partnership with the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, each NASCAR SpeedPark have up to eight tracks and are tailored in size and nature to fit each community in which it is located.
The Sevierville track is a favorite with many tourists as well as locals who keep coming back f more. Family season passes are also available.
