Movie Review: Serving Sara

This movie is about New York City process server Joe Tyler (Matthew Perry) convinced by a rich socialite woman to serve divorce papers on her husband, who currently lives in Texas. The two embark on a road trip from New York to Texas to find him.
Elizabeth Hurley stars as Sara the housewife who is jilted by rich husband Gordon (Bruce Campbell).
If Sara serves Gordon first, the divorce proceedings will take place in New York, where their assets will be divided evenly. If Gordon serves Sara first, the divorce will be settled in Texas, a state that tends to leave women with less than they deserve. If Joe succeeds in serving Gordon he’ll make $1 million for his efforts.
After planes, buses and car rides there is a winner but you’ll have to watch the show to see for yourself.
The acting of Perry and Hurley is good but the language takes away from the story line. Nobody has to sit through line after line of filthy language to be entertained. The plot was cute but left a lot to be desired. Overall I’d give the film a three out of ten. Take my advice. Skip this show and go check out “Spiderman” or “XXX.” You’ll get a lot more excitement without all the language.
