After an unusually warm holiday season, Ober Gatlinburg opened on Tuesday thanks to temperatures that finally dipped below freezing.
With their normal pre-Christmas opening date pushed back thanks to weather too warm to produce snow, the attraction finally caught a break when recent nighttime temperatures dropped low enough to powder the slopes.
