A familiar Seymour business has started off the New Year with a new face after extensive exterior and interior renovations.
The work was done as part of a country wide project to update McDonald’s look, according to franchise owner Tom Cochran.
The lobby was redesigned with images from Cade’s Cove worked into the wallpaper to give the building a local feel.
The exterior received a practical update as well, with an extra drive through lane to alleviate traffic.
To celebrate the new design, Jim Trame with the franchise indicated that several specials are planned, including a registration to win a Kindle Fire and a Leapster tablet.
They also plan to turn Tuesdays into Family Nights between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. with discounts on Happy Meals and special activities for children.
“We plan to try (Family Night) for about three months and after that we’ll see,” he said.
