Less than two months after the group was reformed, the Seymour Business Association has doubled in size.
The association meets at noon every Tuesday at Willie’s Restaurant on Chapman Hwy.
Association member and Salon 101 owner Veronica Sharp said that the group continues to grow every week.
“One of the new and upcoming ideas we are going to work on is a welcome package for new comers,” she said.
The welcome package will be handed out to new residents and businesses in Seymour.
Another project the association is currently working on is a Seymour Sidewalk Sale.
The sale will take place on June 12 and will stretch from the Knox/Sevier County Line to the businesses across from Seymour First Baptist Church. It will include a variety of specials at each business.
It is members’ hope that the sale will increase the visibility of local businesses while letting residents support Seymour.
Also in the works is a Seymour Beautification Contest that will be held in the fall. More details will be available on the contest as it nears.
The association is currently welcoming new members. For more information call Sharp at (865) 573-2111.
