successful auction benefits missions

published: May 01 2007 12:25 PM updated:: May 01 2007 12:27 PM
First Baptist Church of Seymour wishes to say thanks to all those who helped make the recent auction and rummage sale for missions such a huge success. Appreciation is expressed to those who donated auction and rummage items; to those who helped pick up and display these; to those who worked during the sale and auction; and most of all, to the many who came and bought items. Seymour is a generous community!

     This big semi-annual event has become an important source for the funds that allow First Baptist Church to engage actively in world-wide missions. Groups have recently returned from Albania and Mexico and three trips are planned to West Virginia this summer. The church has an ongoing relationship with a church on the hurricane stricken Gulf Coast.

     The next missions rummage sale is scheduled for Saturday, October 13.
