Integrity Title sold to Dan Scott

Dan Scott, a local attorney, recently purchased integrity Title, located in the Newell Professional Building on Chapman Highway. “We have been serving them (the title company) as their lawyer for over 6 years and growing their business along with ours and frequently we find that it helps to have a lawyer for consultation and it made it a lot easier if they (the title company) were a part of our group,” stated Scott. “We are both very happy about the transition and it is going really well,” stated Jody Schulz, the former owner of Integrity Title. Schulz will continue to work at the title company on a part-time basis until the end of this month, helping out during the changeover period. Schulz said it was difficult for them to continue to grow the business with limited people. “We’ve doubled the size of the business every year for the past six years.” At times it is very difficult for business owners to sell their “babies” for any amount of money. But according to Schulz, her overriding reason to sell the business was her kids. “One just graduated and I’ve got another one that is 17 who will graduate next year, then another one 14 and I’ve got an older one who has given me two grandchildren. I wanted to spend more time with the family,” stated Schulz. “Plus, I’ve been working so hard for so long that it made sense to sell.” “Someone told me a company was interested in purchasing my business so I asked Dan to evaluate my business for me. When he heard that, he said ‘let’s talk.’” “We’ve been thinking of a title mortgage company for the past couple of years and just haven’t found the right one until now,” stated Scott. According to Scott the only downside to this wonderful event is that he has lost Donna Blaydes, his long-time assistant to the Seymour office as the office manager of the title company. “We will continue with the same quality of service and integrity that Jody has established and that also is a reason why we choose this company over another,” Scott stated. “We always got the work out and it was a great experience, met a great number of wonderful people, but it’s time for me to take some time off, spend it with my family and then take another look around, ” stated Schulz Schulz retains ownership of the Newell Professional Building located at 11729 Chapman Hwy., Seymour, TN 37865.
