2 Pennies may be just the place to find it

A new resale/second hand shop has opened in South Knoxville. 2 Pennies Resale is just the place to stop if you’re looking for a good used piece of furniture, that special collectible or just a little something out of the ordinary. Anyone who loves to go to garage sales will enjoy rummaging through the variety of items in the store. “We buy things from auctions, garage sales, estates sales, just about anywhere we can find them,” said store manager Kenny Hayes. The store is owned by Steve and Elizabeth Hayes and it appears it’s something that Elizabeth loves to do. “Elizabeth collects hats, perfume bottles, you name it,” said Kenny Hayes. Part of her collection lines the walls of the store. 2 Pennies used to be located in Fountain City but felt the new location, which they have been at since December, was better suited for the store. “We have more room and lots of parking. It’s definitely helped our business by moving here,” said Kenny Hayes. The store carries furniture, antiques, jewelry, dishes, and miscellaneous items. “We have a warehouse with about 3300 square feet of merchandise where we bring things in as needed.” If you want to find some goodies, stop by and check them out. They are located at 3615B Chapman Hwy. under the South Knoxville Antique Mall. They also buy furniture and various items. You can give them a call at 609-0777.
