Since its humble beginnings years ago, Club Fit 101 is a true testament to the success of the Seymour area.
Currently operating out of a small space at 311 Blue Peacock Way, the local fitness center has been constructing a new facility off of Macon Ln. since mid-2012. Now, the construction is nearly complete and owner Andrew Noland is looking forward to operating his business out of the new location.
“We plan to have a grand opening the weekend of March 25,” he said. “Just before that we will shut down the old location and move everything over here.”
With nearly 800 members the new 10,600 sq. ft. facility will have the capability to support a 3,500 membership.
“Our contracts are less than the larger systems and we have more space than the smaller gyms,” Noland said. “We’re the only 24 hour gym is Seymour. No matter what time you want to work out, we’ll be here.”

In addition to a number of goal-oriented training classes, the new Club Fit 101 location offers a variety of specialized work-out areas. These include a 2,200 .sq. ft. cardio space, 2,200 sq.ft. of free weights, and 1,500 sq. ft. of weight machines that can be used without a spotter. In addition to these spaces, the new Club Fit 101 facility has an aerobic room and a mezzanine area that focuses on core-strengthening.
“Our mezzanine overlooks the entire gym,” Noland said. “It has orthopedic balls, punching bags, jump ropes, and other equipment designed for core exercises.”
Although the new facility will have plenty of equipment to keep members fit and busy, plans for even further expansion are still hatching.
“There may be some additions in the future, but our focus is continuing to be an integral part of the Seymour community,” Noland said.
