The Seymour High School track and field program is looking for participant for the 2013 season which is just around the corner.

This year the Seymour track team will be under new leadership as far as the head coaching position.  Assistant Coach Gary Stinnett will be taking over as head coach as long time head coach Cotton Julian is retiring after over 20 years of leading the Seymour High School track program.

“We are excited about our student interest in the Seymour track team,” said Stinnett.  “If a student has the desire to be a part of our team, we will find a spot for them.  We hope to have an exciting season in 2013.  Last year we competed will in the Inner Mountain Athletic Conference and had several athletes advance to the sectional track meet in Johnson City.  We also had two of our field event athletes make it the state finals.  They competed and represented Seymour High School well.”
