After attempting to help strive off the stagnate economy of South Knoxville that has been largely exacerbated by the extended closure of the Henley St., Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett went to Nashville to try and get some legislation put into action.
“It went about as well as expected,” he said. “There were a lot more questions than answers.”
Burchett said his specific intent of going to Nashville was to formulate some tax legislation to give area residents relief.
