The basketball season for the Seymour Lady Eagles came to an abrupt end as the Morristown East Lady Hurricanes (10-18 overall) defeated the Lady Eagles 57-40 in the quarterfinals of the District 2-AAA tournament at Seymour High School.

The game was a disappointing upset for the Lady Eagles (16-14) as they were a three seed and the Lady Hurricanes were a high six seed.

The fact that Seymour was a lower seed and hosting the tournament made the 17 point thrashing seem even worse.
