Lady Eagle standout Mariah Flynn goes drives for a layup.(The Herald/ Lee Ramsey)

If you believe in moral victories, the Seymour Lady Eagles didn’t look bad as they lost a close contest to the number one ranked AA team in the state, Grainger County, 52-44 on senior night at Seymour.

Currently, the Lady Grizzlies are 28-0. To play that close to the top team in the state is nothing to be ashamed of.

The Lady Eagles showed the intensity they have lacked lately.  They seemed focused and their execution was good except for a flurry of turnovers early in the fourth quarter.
