According to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals, The Sevier County Sheriffs Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in a Seymour residence Jan. 31.
Seals said at approximately 7 p.m. 911 received a call from a male caller at 1449 Estates Dr. who said he had been shot.
Officers were dispatched and arrived on the scene and found a white male deceased inside the residence. Around the same time two female occupants of the home showed up at the Sheriffs Office in Sevierville and one stated she had just shot her husband.
Sheriff’s Office Investigators along with the TBI responded to the scene where an investigation was initiated.
The female, who resided there with her husband and daughter, alleged to investigators she shot her husband in self-defense after a domestic dispute.
